Short bio:
Dr Justin August is a registered Research Psychologist and a Psychometrist in South Africa. He is the Chairperson of the Professional Board for Psychology in South Africa, a regulatory body under the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). He also chairs the Ethics Committee of the HPCSA. As an academic he teaches both undergraduate as well as postgraduates in Ethics, Psychometrics and Psychological Testing and Assessment. His research area includes political psychology, psychological test development and psychometrics and cultural competence. He has a keen interest in transformation of psychology for South Africa and is spearheading a national initiative on a training framework for psychology in South Africa beyond 2025.
