Short bio:
Filip Dechterenko works as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Arts and as a researcher at the Institute of Psychology, Czech Academy of Sciences. His research interests include human vision, specifically focusing on visual memory and attention. Currently, he is studying how people memorize complex images and investigating whether typical or atypical images are better remembered. To quantify the similarity of images, he combines methods from machine learning with behavioral experiments. In addition to his main focus, he is also interested in research methodology and general statistics. He collaborates on a variety of studies ranging from pedagogical psychology to neuropsychology.
